Wednesday 17th May - commute.

 I saw a large fish in the Biel burn on my way into work this morning.  At first I thought it was a released koi but I stopped and tried to follow it as it swam into the shadows under the bank. I think it was a rainbow trout from the fish farm with a nasty looking infection causing white patches. The water there is tidal and quite brackish. That's good for curing white spot but I suspect the fish didn't have long. It was too slow and looked like it had swim bladder problems. There was no sign of it on the way home. There were however several roadbikes out this evening, but they didn't acknowledge me. 😕
