20th May - Cockburnspath
This was a regular cycle for me 10 years ago. It's fairly level and mostly on a shared use path or quiet roads. With a little twisting through the woods, it becomes a 20 loop. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't think why I haven't been along this way more often.
The bridge at Bilsdean.
End (or beginning) of the Southern Upland Way.
The shared use path beside the A1 between Thornton loch and the Oldhamstocks bridge has been resurfaced but its not very smooth either.
Still a good route to stretch the legs and I made good time.
