Monday 31st October - commute.

 Last Thursday was my 4th covid injection, plus this year's flu vaccine. I needed the car to get to the appointment and then was feeling a bit sore on Friday so took the car again. But Monday morning came around and as the clocks have gone back, it was daylight when I set off to work. 

By the time I returned to this spot in the evening it was dark. As I pedalled along in the glow of the Ridgeback's little headlight I reflected on the silence. Just a few months ago the beach had been full of people soaking up the sun while children screamed as dogs splashed through the waves. 

I also tried to change the clock on the bikes computer and managed to delete all the stored info.
