Tuesday 19th July - commute.

 This morning started overcast and it was a welcome relief with slightly lower temperatures. Down at Belhaven bay the high pressure gave a glassy calm to the sea. Just me and the birds. 

I hadn't slept well in the heat last night so I was running a little late and had to push hard on the pedals. My quads were aching and I definitely needed a shower when I got to work (on time!)

Mid afternoon was really hot. 

The cycle home must have been a little cooler but it didn't really feel it. I stopped a couple of times to drink plenty of water. 

It was still cloudy without a breath of wind and I'll be quite happy if the temperature was to drop 10° overnight.
